Collage

My collage work is intuitive and process-based, focusing on composition, texture, colour and form. The images seek to balance the abstract with recognisable, organic and non-organic forms and different materials. They are made using paper, photographs, paintings, drawings, prints and fabric. Works are continuously turned around, escaping a clear up or down orientation.

My inspiration comes from urban life, architecture, mess, waste and wanting to make new pieces from old ones, in an endless cycle of tearing and (re)building.
